Minnesota Broadband Profiles
Access to, and use of, high-speed Internet is critical for today’s communities. Across rural Minnesota, community leaders are putting in the hard work necessary to bring the benefits of broadband home. To plan, build partnerships and attract investment to their community, leaders need sound information and data.
That’s why every year since 2017, Blandin Foundation has contracted Treacy Information Systems to synthesize data from the Minnesota Office of Broadband Development and broadband news from Minnesota’s 87 counties to gauge progress toward the state broadband goals (25 megabits per second download/3 Mbps upload by 2022 and 100 Mbps/20 Mbps by 2026).
Scroll over the map, or use the sorting function of the table underneath it, to see a data overview for each county. Click on the county to access the more in-depth profile. Each county is coded red, yellow or green as an indicator of how close they are to meeting the state goals.
